Practice Makes Perfect

The words themselves are age-old and cliché, but the message behind them still applies.  Repetition is akin to reinforcement. Recurring activities are necessary for the mastery of any skill. It seems like the ‘bored’ reps perspective overlooks this fact. Don’t get caught up in looking at things the wrong way. Next time you find yourself frustrated with a typical task, think about how your performance will translate into sales success. Remind yourself why you are in sales: to help individuals learn about something that is important and could provide them with great benefits.

Expect Success

Be your own sales coach and keep yourself motivated. Take your inner critic that constantly runs destructive thoughts through your mind, and turn them into constructive thoughts to promote future success. By taking charge of yourself, set ambitious goals to put you on the path for sales success. Even if you don’t reach them, you will have stretched and focused yourself allowing you to develop and improve along the way. Reward yourself when goals are reached, and even when they may not be completely conquered; occasionally reward yourself for consistent hard work.
